Bruce Liegel

Bruce Liegel is a regular contributor to Global Macro Playbook. He was previously a macro fund manager and strategist at elite investment firm Millennium, managing a discretionary global macro portfolio and responsible for all areas of investment: asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, trade ideas generation and trade execution.

Prior to Millennium, he was a managing director and macro investment manager at Lockheed Martin Investment Management Co (LMIMCo), an investment management firm that manages the retirement plans of Lockheed Martin, a Fortune 100 aerospace and security company. During his time at LMIMCo, he was a member of their investment committee, developing trading strategy and overall portfolio construction and asset allocation for their $35 billion pension fund and $30 billion 401(k) plan. Before joining Lockheed Martin, he was a partner and senior portfolio manager at Lotsoff Capital, and helped grow the Chicago-based hedge fund to over $1 billion AUM.

Bruce began his career as a commodities trader and has extensive experience trading across the key macro asset classes, including equities, global fixed income and foreign exchange.
